Application Notes
The sections below outline configurable options that enhance database efficiency and visibility, as well as settings for multi‑channel management.
Configure Database Shortcut Keys
-
To view or customize these settings, navigate to Database > Settings and select Configure GDB Shortcut Keys.
-
The interactive dialog allows you to define your own hotkeys or review the default mappings.
Configure Database Highlighting Preferences
Another useful feature under Database > Settings is Highlight Rows/Cells, which allows you to apply custom visual highlighting to project databases.
-
This is especially helpful when working with large datasets that require frequent scrolling.
-
By clearly emphasizing the active row or cell, this feature improves visibility, reduces errors, and enhances overall data readability.
Manage Multiple Channels Efficiently
To improve the database user experience and support tasks such as editing or rearranging multiple channels at once, the following capabilities are available:
-
Select and Reorder Multiple Channels
Select (highlight) multiple database channels simultaneously and apply actions to them as a group. Available actions include drag‑and‑drop reordering, moving channels left or right, and positioning them before or after another channel.
-
Update shared attributes across multiple selected channels at the same time.
-
Hide or Remove Multiple Channels
Hide or remove selected channels from the view.
-
Protect/Unprotect Multiple Channels
Apply or clear protection for selected channels.
-
Remove all selected channels from the database.
