Manual FFT Preparation

The Manual FFT Preparation sub-menu allows expansion and fill of grids with more control than the Automatic FFT Preparation function. This also saves time during the calculations.

The following options are available for manual FFT preparation:

Expand Grid

The standard Oasis GX which expands a grid and fill it with dummies. To be sure that the grid is expanded to “good FFT” dimensions, use the menu item “Minimum % to Expand Grid” rather than specifying “ --X”, “…--Y”.

Fill Grid Dummies

The standard Oasis GX which fills expanded grids to be periodic.

  • The default parameters that appear in this dialog are different than the defaults used in Automatic FFT Preparation.

    • Fill Grid Dummies Using Spline

    This option fills "interior" dummy values using an Akima spline.
