Select Index Map Background Grid

The top layer of the 3D model is shown on the index map to provide context for your modelling activities. However, you may display any of the layers or any of the anomaly components in the model, instead.

Access this dialog by right-clicking and selecting Change background... on the index map in the Edit 3D Model dialog.

Select whether you wish to use a layer top or an anomaly component as the background for the index map.

Depending upon your selection, you will see different fields below.

Layer name

 Select the layer you wish to display.

or

Component

 Select the anomaly component you wish to display.

Type

Select between the Observed, Calculated, or Misfit grid.

  • You can select only from grids that are currently in the model.

    Application Notes

    The lists are dynamically populated from the contents of the model. If the calculated response of the model is not valid – the model has been changed since the last calculation – the "Calculated" and "Misfit" grids may not be available to select for display.
