Import Databases

Oasis montaj provides the capability to read directly from common database formats including Microsoft Access, FoxPro, Dbase, Paradox, and ODBC sources. This enables you to import any database information directly into a Geosoft database (*.gdb).

The Database > Import menu provides two options for importing a database table:

  • For common database tables (Access, FoxPro, Dbase, Paradox), select one of the Database Table sub-menu options.

  • To import ODBC databases, select the ODBC menu item.

    To use ODBC-compliant databases, you must have the Oasis montaj ODBC software installed as well as the ODBC drivers for the program you are importing from.
