Identify Original Subarea Lines
Use the Identify Original Subarea Lines option (geogxnet.dll(Geosoft.GX.UAVSurvey.IdentifyOriginalLines;Run)*) from the UAV Merge Sorties > Merge Planned Sortie menu to label segments of the sortie data with the appropriate line number.

Subareas have unique names. From the drop-down list, select the subarea whose takeoff location you wish to move. The takeoff location does not need to be inside the subarea. When selected outside the subareas, a white line joins it to the centre of the subarea it belongs to. Script Parameter: PLAN_UAV_SURVEY.SELECTED_SUBAREA |

It is assumed that on every pass over the subarea, the UAV exits the subarea polygon to line up and traverses the polygon, exiting at the far end.
For ease of computation, the survey coordinates are rotated (XS, YS), where YS is along the survey azimuth and XS is perpendicular to the lines. The survey line waypoint is used as the origin. Any point's distance from any line is just the difference in XS (for flight lines) or the difference in YS (for tie lines).
A mask channel 'InSubarea' is created to distinguish parts of the path inside and outside the subarea polygon. The channel is set to 1 inside and DUMMY outside. The first non-dummy (inside polygon location) defines a valid line segment up to where it leaves the polygon. This process is repeated to produce a list of line segments.
In the meantime, a list of all the lines and their distinct XS (for ties) and YS (for flight lines) values of the original flight path database is also compiled. The survey line segments acquire their labels from the closest planned lines. The assigned labels are saved in the channel 'SplitLine'.
A report is generated listing:
a) lines not found.
b) cases where the same line was identified for two or more flown segments.
*The GX.NET tools are embedded in the geogxnet.dll file located in the "...\Geosoft\Desktop Applications \bin" folder.
