High-pass Filter
Use the High-pass option to apply a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) high-pass filter to a channel.
The filter option is available with the following extensions and menus:
- 1D FFT > 1D Filtering
- Moving Platform Gravity > Filters > Apply Single FFT Filter

Wavelength cutoff |
Enter the cutoff wavelength in ground units. Use 0 for an infinitely long wavelength. Default = 0 Script Parameter: FFTHIGHP.WAVEL |
Application Notes
The high-pass filter removes long-wavelength components, preserving short-wavelength features.
High-Pass Filter
Parameter:
k0: The cutoff wavenumber, expressed in cycles per ground unit. All wavenumbers higher than this value are removed.
Ground unit: The unit of measurement used in your survey grid (e.g., metres, feet).
Similar to the band-pass filter, the high-pass filter is rarely used because the results often exhibit the Gibbs Phenomenon (ringing artefacts).
