Low-pass Filter

Use the Low-pass option to apply a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) low-pass filter to a channel.

The filter option is available with the following extensions and menus:

Wavelength cutoff
(in ground units)

Specifies the cutoff wavelength in ground units. Default = 0

Script Parameter: FFTLOWP.WAVEL

The low-pass filter removes high-frequency components by applying the following logic:

L(k) = 1, for k ≤ k₀
L(k) = 0, for k > k₀

Parameter:

k₀: The cutoff wavenumber, expressed in cycles per ground unit. All wavenumbers higher than this value are removed.

Ground unit refers to the unit of measurement in your survey grid (e.g., metres, feet).
