Appending Boreholes

If borehole data is stored in multiple files or new borehole data is available, you can import other files into the project and add them to the existing borehole data. To do this, right-click on the Boreholes object and select Append Boreholes.

Append borehole data when you have new boreholes or wish to add extra length to existing boreholes. If you wish to refresh borehole data, overwriting all existing borehole data, use the Reload Boreholes option.

The Append Boreholes window will be displayed. Appending borehole data is similar to importing the original data (see Importing Borehole Data):

  • If the borehole data was loaded from a file on your computer or a network location, you will be asked to specify the file locations. Step through the files, checking the Column Summary for each file to ensure that the correct information will be imported, then click Finish to add the new files.
  • If the interval table is stored in an ODBC database, you will be prompted to connect to the database. See Selecting the ODBC Data Source.
