Subsurface Tools

There are several different tools for working with subsurface data in Target for ArcGIS Pro. You can browse the topics in the Subsurface Tools section, or you can use the list below to go directly to the topic you need:

  • The Drillhole Symbology pane can be used to create custom drillhole symbologies, set default symbologies to be used when adding data, and to manage saved symbologies.

  • Create a new local 3D scene with the drillhole collars and traces from the current drillhole dataset.

  • The Section Tool can be used to create cross sections, modify existing sections, and manage the sections in the current drillhole dataset.

  • The Section View tool can be used on 3D scenes to view existing sections and to "flip" through sections within the project.

  • The Drillhole Planning tool can be used to create (or modify existing) proposed drillholes on maps or scenes.

  • The Strip Logs tool can be used to create a graphical report of a single drillhole, displayed vertically down the page.
