Set Default Symbology

Summary

The Set Defaults tab of the Drillhole Symbology pane allows you to see, assign or remove the "default symbology" for any particular drillhole feature class, or attribute.

Usage

Use the Set Defaults tab to select the default symbology style to use with a specific feature class or attribute. Anytime the feature class or attribute is added to a map or scene, the default symbology will be automatically applied.

The Set Defaults tab presents the contents of the current drillhole dataset in an order that makes sense for viewing a drillhole project. The spatial location information about the drillholes is presented in this order:

Next to each feature class and attribute, is a dropdown from which you can select any of the saved or imported symbologies in the current dataset. Once a symbology is selected next to a feature class or attribute, it will be automatically applied anytime that feature class or attribute is added to a map or scene.

To clear the selected default symbology, select the <None> option from the dropdown list. You may also right click on any feature class or attribute in order to:

The Datasets tab of the Drillhole Datasets pane also provides the ability to set default symbology, and to clear the assigned default symbology. From the right-click menu for any feature class or attribute:
